Back to Weaving

Wow--it has been forever since I last posted.. It isn't that I quit weaving, it is just that I have been doing more glass and attending several glass workshops... But today I started a project from the Weavers Idea book.. It is the houndstooth pattern. I selected a great lime green and

wonderful purple... I have the warp started in the Rigid Heddle loom.. Tomorrow I will finish the

warping and perhaps begin to actually weave...

The brown/blue scarf was done for a friend who lives in Chicago, I sent it to him in time for

the big blizzard of 2011.... and the scarf on the right was done as part of a pay it forward project. It was a lightweight scarf and it was sent to another glass artist on the west coast.

The last bit of news is the wonderful Might Wolf loom I purchased in 2009 was just not getting used and I thought that it would be better to sell it to someone who would use it and love it, so I sold it in Dec 2010....Wow the response was overwhelming and I even had a couple of people

contact me in March to see if I still had it... I sure had no idea that it would be such a hit when

I listed it on Craigslist...

So, I am happy to own a couple of different sizes of Rigid Heddle looms and will concentrate my weaving to a portable loom...
